Robert Brooks, 38, of Henderson, Nevada, died February 15, 2005, after a long battle with leukemia.
Robert was born April 20, 1966 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He ran his first marathon in grade school.
He went to Chaparral High School and was on the cross country team, ski club, and played varsity soccer graduating in 1984.

Robert attended and graduated from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona; and Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, California with an advanced degree in prosthetics/orthotics. Robert worked for many years in the field, eventually realizing his dream of opening his own practice.
Robert married Lynda Benson in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1988.
Most recently, Robert and his wife, Lynda, have been operating a successful real estate business. A caring, thoughtful, generous young man who demonstrated optimism and courage throughout his life, Robert was in love with his wife, his son, his life, and his family.
He is survived by his wife Lynda, son Ryan, parents Sandra and Carman Brooks, sister Kathy, and two brothers Randy and Anthony. A private service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at Grace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Church @ South Las Vegas or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
