Brenda Ann Granzow Cuevas

Brenda Ann Cuevas, 39, of Eldora, Iowa, died at home Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005. She was born July 18, 1966, in Iowa Falls, daughter of Craig Granzow and Sharon Balvanz.
Ms. Cuevas graduated from Chaparral High School, Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1984, and received her LPN degree at Maricopa College, Tempe, Ariz.
She worked as a nurse in Phoenix until 2002. She was president of WINGS Sorority and had been elected co-chairwoman for the Ladies Golf League at Pine Lake Country Club for 2006.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nicole Marie Cuevas and Jaime Annette Cuevas; her parents, Sharon and Loran Balvanz of Eldora, and Craig and Cordie Granzow of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Katheryne Granzow of Fort Riley, Kan., Kelli (Terry) Blythe of Trenton, N.C., and Jenny (Kelvin) Kitchens of Hiawassee, Ga.; a brother, Chad (Maggie) Roy of Eldora; and grandmother, Lois Westerhausen of Eldora.
Proceeded in death by: paternal grandparents, Doug and Charlotte Granzow; maternal grandfather, James Westerhausen; and a brother, Bradley Granzow. Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Eldora, with burial in Eldora City Cemetery at a later date. There will be no evening visitation. There will be a guest register available from noon until 8 p.m. today at Creps-Abels Funeral Home, Eldora.
